The junior event is expected to start around 9am on the Saturday, with the main adult race starting around 1pm as usual. Both events take place at Forster - Main Beach. The presentation will be held at Club Forster as always, starting around 8pm.

Gloria Jeans' Forster 5km Run for Fun is an easy, scenic run for runners and walkers of all abilities. It takes advantage of some of the best views and locations in Forster, and is a fun, social atmosphere to test your fitness or take the first step to a fitter lifestyle.
Race date Sunday 13th April 2014, start time 7.30am from Gloria Jeans Forster.
Categories are – Open, 16-19yo, 12-15yo, and Under 12. There are cash prizes for male and female winners in each Category. There will also be a prize for the Best Dressed runner, plus lucky draw prizes after the conclusion of the race.
Entry fee is $15.00. Limited entries will be available on the day. Got to website for more info and entry form.

This swim is a ripper and is fast becoming known as one of the late season classics. Swimmers will traverse the length of One Mile Beach from Cape Hawke Surf Club before rounding Bennett's Head, swimming past the Tanks and Pebbly Beach to finish on Forster Main Beach approximately 3.8km later.
There is also a shorter 1km swim from Pebbly Beach to Main Beach on offer for those who do not wish to take on the main event. Spectators can view the swim along the coastal walkways - well worth the walk as it offers great views of the swimmers & the coastline.

The Anzac Day Service & March planned for Forster Tuncurry is:
6am - Dawn Service at the Little Street Cenotaph; then at 10.10am the march will assemble in Memorial Drive behind the Westpac bank, proceed along Memorial Drive to the bridge and then via Wharf Street and Beach Street to the Little Street Cenotaph for the 11am service. Breakfast will be provided at Club Forster for all those who attend the Dawn Service displaying their medals.
